  • Civil Engineering (2011-2015)

    Devarsh Shah

Hello VGECians ! Devarsh Shah here, VGEC Civil Engineering passed out in 2015. I want to say many more things other than the regular stuff like where I got placed, job description etc. I used to follow a few simple things:
    1) Do at least three kind of business: First- which increases - your creativity Second-which keeps- you healthy Third-which increases- your bank balance
    2) If you are good at something, make it your profession and get better in it day by day.
VGEC campus has helped me recognize many of my hidden talents in fields like anchoring, teaching and choreography along with my engineering studies. Right now,I have a 9am-6pm job at Torrent, where i got placed from our college placements, apart from this i have my own developer firm "DNA Developers", engineering classes, and an event firm"Dzzy Events" which has its well known Garba classes "DZzy Dandiya" and has collaborated with many famous clubs in Ahmadabad as an ANCHOR(viz. Adani shantigram) This all started with a small and single step, during my first year, I used to walk for 4-4.5 km just to give tuition to 8th STD students and at the end of my engineering I had my own car. Basic is as simple as this, there is no rocket science for success, all you need to have is your creativity, decisiveness, passion, sincerity, love & dedication to your pre-visualized and pre-determined goal. Even after working for 17 hours a day, i still feel there is time to do more.. the reason being, i enjoy what i do and give my best at everything and anything that I take up. So find your "why" and make your "way" for it. Remember you are destined to be successful, healthy & happy. You just need to look within and discover yourself."

  • Computer Engineering (2010-2014)

    Saran Raghu

A message of VGEC Alumnus Sharan Raghu for fellow VGEC students. He completed his bachelor's from VGEC (CE: 2014) and Master's in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Arlington. He is currently working as a Software Developer at Sages Networks, Georgia- USA. Communication: No matter how good you are technically or individually, it is fruitful only when you express yourself well. Developing good communication skills will help you in whichever field you go and will surely boost your self confidence. Knowledge: Good technical knowledge doesn't mean having a great CGPA. Even with average marks, you can crack any interview if you have the right skills. You can develop that by working on things you are passionate about, fields/projects you like - all these apart from routine coursework. "All work and no play makes jack a dull boy" Follow one activity other than your routine work/study. Be it a sport, reading, music, dance, photography, gaming ... anything! It will be a perfect stress buster! Follow something which will make you happy!

  • Electrical Engineering (2010-2014)

    Meghavi Anand

I am Meghavi Anand past student of V.G.E.C 2010-14 Electrical Engineering Batch. Today, I am sharing with you one of the best incidents of my journey towards success in Rifle Shooting. It was started since 2011, when I was in the 2nd year of engineering. I had talked to my father for making a career in sports and as you all guys know talking about making a career in sports to father (Specially whose father is government employee) is like making a career in that field in which no one worked in the history of family, is a bigger mistake. Then we had a long debate on that. The conclusion came with condition that I can continue shooting till I get good marks in exams. So my biggest challenge was to manage both the things my study and my passion. Now, let’s talk about the results. One day morning my Dad as per his habit has opened a newspaper for reading and get shocked. He suddenly came to me and asked look your photograph is on the front page of city newspaper with your achievements. At that day I had seen tears in his eyes with satisfaction that yes, my daughter has proven herself right and I am happy with that. So that’s one of the part of my success story, there is a lot to say, but let’s talk about my success Mantras. Success Mantras • Believe in yourself • Don’t follow others views about you • Hardwork & Dedication • Time Management • Be Ethical and Honest I hope my story will help you to achieve success in your life. Good Luck! Thank you Meghavi for your words of inspiration ! Thank you Nirav Sanchaniya for your valuable suggestion!
